In school Term Three, Big Fat Smile has introduced specialised Activity Gurus across our 14 Fun Clubs.
A little bit about our Activity Gurus
Tori Ellis
Tori’s special talent is Drama! Her goal is to engage the children in games and learning activities that focus on different themes each week. “My philosophy is to develop confidence, self-expression and creativity in a safe and fun environment, skills which students can use every day in the real world”.
Dale Newman
Dale is a well-known illustrator, exhibiting her work in various galleries, newspapers, magazines and in many published educational children’s books. Dale’s dream job is drawing imaginary worlds and characters and she is so excited to share her enthusiasm and skills with the children in our Fun Clubs.
Emily Irish
Emily’s speciality is cooking, her love for cooking started when she would bake with her Grandmother. As our Cooking Guru, Emily will be sharing her baking skills and is excited to teach children the fundamentals, whilst allowing them to discover the joy of cooking in the process.
What else can families expect from your Fun Club – Before and After School Care Program?
This year we have improved our offering by partnering with families to provide better before school, after school and school holiday care for children. Earlier in the year Big Fat Smile introduced supported Homework groups and will soon be announcing more fun STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) focussed activities in our Fun Clubs.
