Interested in seeing what it’s like working at Big Fat Smile? Are you interested in learning strategies for supporting children reluctant to participate in the daily routine or displaying behaviours that challenge? Join us for an evening of professional learning, pizza and networking on Wednesday, 14 June 2023.

At Big Fat Smile, we’re never not learning. Or growing. It’s at the heart of everything we do. Here, you’ll have a front row seat to the latest research and thinking on early childhood education.

To continue our professional learning offering for 2023, we will be hosting a Practical Strategies for Inclusion workshop. The event is open to all educators, Big Fat Smile and beyond.

In this workshop you will discuss real scenarios, resources and unpack strategies to support and include children in Early Learning and Care services. You will have a platform to share your ideas and questions, whilst getting exposure to different practices and reflections across our services.

The workshop is presented by Dr. Jane Warren (Doctor of Education, University of Wollongong). Dr. Warren is an experienced early childhood practitioner, both in preschool and in supported playgroups. She is a senior lecturer at the University of Wollongong’s School of Education, where her research focuses on inclusion of children with disabilities in Early Childhood Education and Care centres.

This two-hour workshop is open to all educators – Big Fat Smile and beyond.
