At Woronora Heights Community Preschool our philosophy is to engage children, enhance their understanding of a world full of possibilities. We do this through our environments, experiences, events, and collective knowledge of child development across all of our dedicated and passionate educators.
We have created a strong cultural identity that is built on trust, friendship and partnerships with children and their families. Our environments move beyond the preschool and into the community where natural spaces and local services open our potential to learn and grow.
We are very proud of our transition to school program based around the best start program, and have solid relationships with our local schools.
Our next new adventure is to introduce a Bush Care Program, please ask us next time we speak, we are happy to share and showcase our amazing service.

My personal, professional philosophy of Early Childhood Education and Care, is diversity and resilience. I believe Attachment theory as the foundation for positive citizenship. I have a responsibility to create many opportunities where children can feel capable, can thrive and flourish in an exciting and caring environment. In line with our Big Fat Smile vision of building a creative a brighter braver world.
I am always looking to learn from my community. I enjoy all people, big and small and learning what they have to share. Making positive connections and encouraging open communication is my passion. I practice my pedagogy in line with many theories, a few of which are Maria Montessori’s The Absorbent Mind, John Dewey’s social learning theory and John Bowlby’s attachment theory.
