Meet the centre team
Our team consists of a close-knit group of passionate, experienced educators. In fact, combined we have worked at Reynolds Street Community Preschool for over 38 years. We’ve all formed beautiful relationships with each other and the children and families. There’s a real in it together feeling here, and when the going gets tough (as it sometimes does), our leaders have our backs and we support each other across our service.
We work hard to provide children at Reynolds Street Community Preschool a safe, fun place to learn and grow. It’s a role we take seriously, which is why we pour as much into the care we give, as the fun we bring. And, boy, is there fun to be had!

From our Director Eliza McGrath
We believe that the type of experiences a child may be involved in, in the first five years of their life are crucial in their ongoing learning and development. As such, we are committed to providing a positive and nurturing and safe environment where children are encouraged and supported in their strengths, interests and emerging skills.
We also recognise that a child’s learning and development should be considered on an individual basis, with children included as competent learners in a positive learning environment. This then supports their participation in decisions that affect them.
We are very strong advocates for positive education for children, families and educators. Providing everyone with skills and resources that support resilience and build mental toughness. We have embedded meditation, yoga and brain breaks into our daily room routines with fantastic calming results!
