From our Director Samantha Harkness

At Wollondilly Mobile Community preschool, we value the uniqueness of each child. We aim to provide children with a happy place where they feel safe, secure and supported. We believe the early years of a child’s life are the formative years of their development. Our program focusses on children’s interests and foster’s all areas of development. We strongly encourage family participation and input. We value and respect the diverse cultures and embrace individuality within our preschool. We prepare children for school by encouraging children to foster friendships, extend on self-help skills and independence, and support emotional wellbeing. Children have the opportunity to participate in regular outings with educators. Participating in regular excursions invite’s children to open-ended interactions, exploration, discovery and connection with nature. Children are able to foster an appreciation for the natural environment, develop environmental awareness and provide a platform for ongoing environmental education.

Most importantly, we enrich the lives and minds of the children, our families/carers and the community by providing a home away from home where children can explore, play and reach their full potential.

We maintain a balance between experiences that are child led and those that are supported by thoughtful intentional teaching. We are fortunate to be surrounded by an amazing environment at Wilton and we access this area on a regular basis for further gross motor development and bushwalking.
