Tracy (pictured)
As a long time Early Childhood Educator and Teacher, I have developed a sound understanding of the needs of individual children and the diverse ways in which they learn and grow. I believe that when children are given the opportunity to make choices, feel respected and learn to respect others, that I am helping to mould a generation of citizens that are capable of making positive decisions and create change for the future.
Big Fat Smile’s values of collaboration, inclusion and child-centricity guide my interactions with our youngest members of society, as I empower them to have a voice, work together and respect the ideas of others.
My role as a director is to create a culture of learning, where our educators are encouraged and supported to continually gain more knowledge. This allows us to go into the environment armed with the most recent research and understandings of children learning and development.

At Woronora Heights Community Preschool, we highly value our families as children’s first teachers. Our educators create strong and powerful relationships with our families. With these partnerships, we work to support children to be capable and confident learners.
I believe early childhood education means building learning foundations for young children that will support them throughout their lives. Early childhood education is the starting step for young children to build their social identity, as well as the foundation for becoming lifelong learners and critical thinkers.
Learning environments like ours support children’s and families’ connections. From parallel play when they are infants to forming strong friendships with a group of individuals when they are preschoolers, children learn through play and create strong connections with others in our early learning centre.
