Centres (Bundanoon District Community Preschool)
SAFETY. LEADERSHIP. INTEGRITY. INCLUSION. CHILD-CENTRIC. COLLABORATION.
We believe in providing children the time, space and real experiences to joyfully explore, wonder, discover and learn about themselves and their place within our community.
Staff have received training in Positive Psychology, Fostering Effective Early Learning, Sensory Processing, Nature Pedagogy as well as Forest and Bush School programs to be able to provide extra support and high quality learning experiences for children as they develop valuable life skills.

Why choose Bundanoon District Community Preschool?
When assessed against the National Quality Standards, Bundanoon Community Preschool received a rating of EXCEEDING requirements in all 58 elements, covering 7 Quality Areas. Our Director was awarded a National Excellence in Teaching Award in 2012.
We provide separate days of attendance for different age groups which allows all children to learn in a supportive, developmentally appropriate environment, providing greater scope for extension of learning. We have above regulation staffing ratios of one extra staff member per day.
Our beautiful outdoor environment is naturally shady and offers exploration and adventure! Each Tuesday and Thursday we run our Nature Quest outdoor learning program where we enjoy cooking over a campfire, using real tools, climbing trees, observing and collecting items from nature. Parents are most welcome to join our Nature Quest sessions! It incorporates literacy, mathematics and scientific learning, as well as encouraging independence, resilience, problem solving, and team work. We teach children to self assess risks and to know how to face challenges, whilst still keeping themselves safe.
Strong connection with the local community, school and Aboriginal Elders. We go on lots of local excursions, as well as having frequent visitors who run educational programs at the preschool.
