We’re looking for passionate and dedicated Second in Charge (2IC) educators to join our Fun Clubs.
At Big Fat Smile, our Fun Clubs are spaces where school-aged children play, learn, and grow before and after school and during the holidays.
As a 2IC, you’ll play a key role in bringing that magic to life supporting your Director, leading your team, and helping create fun, meaningful experiences that children will remember.

About the role
As Second in Charge (2IC), you’ll play a hands-on role in creating a fun, safe, and engaging environment where school-aged children can learn, explore, and thrive. You’ll bring your ideas, creativity, and experience to life through exciting activities and programs, helping make every day memorable for the children in your care.
You’ll also build strong, lasting relationships with families, children, and your team, working closely with your Director to ensure the service runs smoothly and meets all Big Fat Smile policies, the National Quality Framework, and Child Protection Legislation.

What you need to succeed
- A cleared valid for paid work, Working With Children Check (WWCC)
- Diploma of Children's Services or related qualification (desirable)
- Experience as a support worker, SLSO, OOSH Educator/2IC, or engagement with school aged children
- Outstanding skills in communication with families and the community
- Demonstrated commitment to work health and safety
- Have a strong understanding and experience in the implementation of educational programs and leadership within the centre as the Educational Leader
