From our Director Liza Rynehart

We believe that successful Early Education for children requires high quality relationships between families, community, educators and the child themselves acknowledging each persons valuable role in respectful and reciprocal interactions.

By providing a nurturing, enriching and inclusive learning environment we are ensuring that children are safe and happy whilst being supported to achieve their highest learning and developmental potential.

We believe that children have their own voice to promote their learning, interests, safety and social and emotional resilience and by listening and acting on these voices we are empowering children to advocate for themselves, their peers and their community and environment.
Respect for natural environment and our First Nations culture is a aspect of Early Education that has the potential to heal and change our future.

We believe in providing children the time, space and real experiences to joyfully explore, wonder, discover and learn about themselves and their place within our community.

What Parents are Saying About Bundanoon District Community Preschool

“Fabulous, caring, professional staff; beautiful environment for children to play and learn; high quality learning programs that gently explore a breadth of ideas and develop creativity, physical skills, expression and compassion”

“My 4 year old daughter attends the Bundanoon preschool. The Bundanoon staff are exceptional educators who take the time to build relationships with each child and their family. They provide a safe, caring and enriching environment that my daughter thrives in. She loves every day she attends preschool and we are so grateful that she is learning and growing in such a positive environment.

“” I feel we are so very lucky having the Bundanoon Preschool in our Village. The educators are mature and accomplished in their field and as a Mum I really value this. Liza, the new Director, has also been a wonderful addition- she is approachable and accommodating and she always makes herself available for a chat. Liza has counselled next on my anxieties with choosing a room for my daughter and even rung me after hours to check how we were going after an unpleasant experience with another mum and child (that had nothing to do with the Preschool). She really goes above and beyond!!”

“My child is very happy at pre-school. The educators are caring, engaging and provide a variety of interesting activities for her to participate in. The school itself has great ties to the community and is a valued pathway to the local primary school.”

When assessed against the National Quality Standards, Bundanoon Community Preschool received a rating of EXCEEDING in all elements and areas of the National Quality Standards,

Our beautiful outdoor environment is naturally shady and offers exploration and adventure!  We hold Nature Pedagogy in high regard and incorporate it into our daily program through literacy, mathematics and scientific learning, as well as encouraging independence, resilience, problem solving, and team work. We teach children to self assess risks and to know how to face challenges, whilst still keeping themselves safe.

With strong connection to the local community, school and Aboriginal Elders, we go on lots of local excursions, as well as having frequent visitors who run educational programs at the preschool.  We are supportive of the development of the Bundanoon Community Garden in the space next door to our preschool and look forward to extending our gardening skills externally as well as within the preschool.
