Children are valued as active learners and families are viewed as their first teacher. Our educators provide children with open-ended inquiry based experiences that allow them to grow and develop their skills.

Our role is to guide and encourage children to acquire a lifelong love of learning.

What Parents are Saying About Western Suburbs Community Preschool

“The Director and Educators are phenomenal. They truly care about our kids and are invested in their happiness and development. The facilities are great and our kids love attending”

“I couldn’t be happier with Big Fat Smile Western Suburbs, the care of both my children is to the highest standard, they both LOVE going to childcare and we love the teachers. We are blessed.”

“The Director and staff are excellent at communication and building strong relationships with students and their families. They are also very responsive to particular needs.”

” We have been part of the WSCPS family for 4 years. Educators, communication, cleanliness, food and overall care is amazing.”

“Unanderra Big Fat Smile team has been absolutely beyond amazing all year with my daughter, so much so I’m sending my son next year to start and stay until big school. I always know what’s going on with my daughter and see updates throughout the day from the app, I love it. Would definitely recommend this centre for sure.”

At Western Suburbs Community Preschool, we have a child-centered and inclusive curriculum which focuses on your child’s individual character, interests, strengths and needs.

Our professional and experienced educators are committed to the wellbeing of the children and families. We believe safety, connections, freedom, mastery and fun are the building blocks for success and we place a high value on the importance of collaborative partnerships with our families and the community.

We are a beautifully located, purpose-built centre and our unique location offers a space for children to engage in prolonged play experiences and nature-based learning. Our centre is located next to Sheargold Park, Unanderra Public School and the Cordeaux Heights shopping enclave, allowing us valuable community links and engagement with the local community.

Within our curriculum the children are engaged with many Key learning Areas. These include movement skills programs, STEM and an individually focused transition to school support program All programs are developed to support inclusion, social justice and wellbeing as primary outcomes.
