In 2019, Big Fat Smile Kenny Community Preschool received a Community Building Partnership grant as part of an NSW Government initiative that provides grants for community infrastructure projects that deliver a positive social, environmental or recreational outcome. This grant has allowed Big Fat Smile Kenny Street Community Preschool to improve the learning environment through the renovation of the outdoor facilities.

Shadow Minister for Natural Resources, Mr Paul Scully MP, visited Kenny Street Community Preschool this month to experience how the Community Building Partnership grant has impacted the learning environment, experiences and outcomes for the children.

“Big Fat Smile continues to raise the standard in early childhood learning and education through continual improvement of their facilities to create an all-weather play area. Making sure that learning spaces are fun and safe is key to children interacting and learning through play which is an important part of their development and helps set them up well for the future”, Mr Scully said.

We were delighted to receive the Community Building Partnership grant and from the NSW Government to improve the learning outcomes for children through dynamic environments.
