Enriching Communities
Big Fat Smile is deeply rooted in the communities we serve, we understand the power of social impact. It’s about creating positive change that improves the quality of life for children, families or communities. This could be through providing access to early education and care, library services, Inclusion support services, play groups, providing essential items for schooling, improving health and wellbeing, promoting education, or creating job opportunities.
Our impact extends beyond mere intentions or activities; it’s about measurable outcomes. We believe in assessing the change we bring about to understand the effectiveness of our initiatives and the lives we positively impact. Moreover, we strive for sustainable change, ensuring our services have longevity and continue to create positive outcomes for all children.
Fun Club @ Bellambi: A New Chapter in Enrichment
Our Community Programs team, operating out of Bellambi Neighbourhood centre, and our Bellambi Community Preschool, has gained a deep understanding of the Bellambi Public School community. From a survey conducted by Bellambi Public School, a gap was identified in formal Outside of School Hours (OOSH) care within this community, so it is a privilege to be able to offer this solution to families.
We are fortunate to have a strong relationship with the school’s Principal, who shares our enthusiasm for this initiative. Mrs Alison Forthuber has been instrumental in establishing a suitable space within the school for the Bellambi Fun Club, further cementing our community connection.
Fun Club @ Bellambi is more than just a service; it’s a commitment to impacting the communities we serve. We are confident this initiative will positively impact the families within Bellambi Public School community. It will provide a familiar face to many of the students who transitioned to school from our Bellambi Community Preschool.
Our initiative is firmly rooted in our core values of inclusivity, safety, child-centric, connection, leadership, and integrity. We are dedicated to ensuring that the benefits of our work reach diverse groups. We firmly believe our efforts will contribute significantly to the social upliftment of this community, reinforcing our unwavering commitment to enriching communities.
