In May 2019, Big Fat Smile Bellambi Point Community Preschool received a Quality Learning Environment Grant as part of an NSW Government initiative designed to support early childhood education services in improving their learning environments. This grant has had a wonderful and positive impact on the experiences of the children within our Bellambi Point service through the upgrade of our outdoor facilities including the replacement of soft fall and artificial turf.

In September, NSW Shadow Minister for the Illawarra & South Coast Ryan Park visited Bellambi Point Community Preschool to see how the grant has positively impacted the learning environment, experiences and outcomes for the children attending the preschool.

” We know just how important the learning environment is for achieving the best possible outcomes for children in preschool. I am delighted Big Fat Smile Bellambi Point Community Preschool has secured the Quality Learning Environment Grant and can see first-hand the positive impact these funds will have for the children and the staff at the Preschool”. – NSW Shadow Minister for the Illawarra & South Coast, Ryan Park

At Big Fat Smile, it’s our aim to be the number one choice for families when it comes to providing quality education and care. We were thrilled to receive this grant and partner with the NSW Government to provide our children with a learning environment that is safe, functional and complementary with the high-quality educational program our educators deliver each and every day.
