On-Site Educational Leaders and Nominated Supervisors
At OOSH for 5–12-year-olds, we prioritise quality care and safety by ensuring educators, leaders and nominated supervisors are present every day. Each day, we have a minimum of two leaders on-site, meaning our most experienced educators are directly engaged with the children, guiding play, learning, and daily experiences.
Commitment to Safety with Two Educators
Safety is one of our core values. While sector regulations require one adult for every 15 children, we go above and beyond by ensuring two educators are always rostered on, regardless of the number of children in attendance.
This approach is about more than compliance, it’s about creating a safe, supportive, and confident environment for children to explore. It also ensures that no educator is ever alone with children, our fundamental safeguarding principle that enhances safety and trust for everyone.
Tailored Programs for Individual Interests
Because our leaders are hands-on and connected with the children every day, our programs are shaped by their interests and the communities they belong to, even the reticent children.
Our play and movement-based experiences might include sport, climbing, exploring nature, gardening, caring for animals, STEM activities, or the arts, all thoughtfully designed to foster curiosity, creativity, and a love of learning.
Every OOSH program is unique, reflecting the children and families who attend, rather than following a one-size-fits-all model.
