In September, Helensburgh Community Preschool received a Little Scientist House Award for their commitment to early STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) education.

The Little Scientists organisation, who gave the centre the award, is a government funded professional development program for early childhood educators and teachers that recognise centres across Australia that implement great early STEM education, along with offering support for early educators.

To be eligible educators must attend Little Scientist workshops, implement a STEM project and show an ongoing commitment to integrating STEM learning into their education program.

Helensburgh Community Preschool was awarded accreditation immediately because their STEM content was already of such a high standard.

A massive congratulations to Helensburgh Community Preschool on this certification and their ongoing commitment to providing quality early education and care programs for children and families.
